How to Send a Fax

Fax to Email is a service that lets you use your email address to send and receive faxes. It is a modernised and hassle-free version of your traditional fax machine — where every transaction can be instantly done online.

Fax to Email simplifies the whole sending process as it integrates seamlessly with your email. Now, the only thing you need to do is to send and receive emails as normal.

There are several ways on how you can send a fax.

Send a Fax Using Account Manager

You can send a fax using the Send New Fax function within your Account Manager. Locate this by following the steps below:

  1. Click Sign Up / Log In at the top of this page.
  2. Ensure that Account Manager is selected.
  3. Enter your username and password, then click Log In.
  4. Click on the Visit My Account button.
  5. Click Email Fax on the menu bar at the top of the page.
  6. Select the Fax Number that you want to use for sending the fax.
  7. The Fax Plan screen will open. Click the Send New Fax button on the right.
  8. Enter the Receiver's Fax Number, and select or drag & drop the File that you want to send in the corresponding fields provided.
  9. Click the Send Fax button.

Send a Fax Using Email

For you to be able to use your email in sending faxes, you need to make sure that the email you are using is an authorised email address. This means that it was successfully set up in your Account Manager.

After setting up emails, you can now send faxes from any of your authorised email addresses.

It's as simple as sending an email. All you need to do is send an email to [email protected], replacing FaxNumber with the actual fax number of the Receiver. All emails sent to this address will automatically be faxed to the indicated fax number.

For example, you want to send a fax to 02 8211 5111:

  1. Create a new email and enter [email protected] in the send-to field.
  2. Attach files, then send email.

Send a Fax to a 1300 Number

Sending a fax to a 1300 Number is basically the same as sending a fax using email. You will always need an authorised email address first to perform this action.

To send a fax to a 1300 Number, simply send an email to [email protected], then replace FaxNumber with the Australian code (+61) followed by the actual fax number.

For example, you want to send a fax to 1300 012 345:

  1. Add the Australian code (+61) as prefix, so it becomes 61130001245
  2. Create a new email and enter [email protected] in the send-to field.
  3. Attach files, then send email.

Congratulations! You just sent a fax using our Fax to Email service.
